Description

Reeh Stitch Scissors are precision instruments designed for accurate and controlled cutting of sutures and stitches during dental, oral surgical, and other delicate clinical procedures. The MMI-61-115 features a straight, slender configuration with fine pointed blades for precise access to individual suture material.

The specialized working end incorporates a small suture hook that helps engage and position the stitch before cutting. This design provides better control when working with individual sutures and allows the cutting edges to be positioned accurately around the material.

The ribbon-style finger-ring handles provide a secure grip and precise manual control during delicate procedures. The compact and balanced construction supports smooth manipulation in confined clinical areas.

Manufactured from premium surgical grade stainless steel, these scissors offer durability, corrosion resistance, and dependable performance during repeated professional use. The reusable construction supports routine cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization.

To maintain the performance, appearance, and service life of your stainless steel dental and surgical instruments, follow these care guidelines:

  • Clean instruments immediately after use to prevent blood, tissue, or debris from drying on the surface.
  • Wash using a neutral pH enzymatic detergent and a soft nylon brush. Avoid abrasive pads, steel wool, or harsh chemicals.
  • Rinse thoroughly with distilled or demineralized water to minimize mineral deposits and corrosion.
  • Dry completely before sterilization or storage, paying special attention to hinges, joints, and serrations where moisture can accumulate.
  • Lubricate hinged and moving instruments regularly with a medical-grade, steam-permeable instrument lubricant to ensure smooth operation.
  • Sterilize using validated autoclave procedures or other approved sterilization methods according to healthcare facility protocols and the instrument’s intended use.
  • Store instruments in a clean, dry environment with tips and cutting edges protected from impact or contact with other instruments.
  • Inspect instruments before each use for wear, corrosion, misalignment, or damage. Remove any defective instrument from service until repaired or replaced.
  • Do not expose stainless steel instruments to bleach, strong acids, high-chloride solutions, or prolonged soaking, as these may cause staining, pitting, or corrosion.
  • Use each instrument only for its intended purpose to preserve precision, functionality, and patient safety.
