Description

Lower Bicuspids Universal Forceps No. 13 are precision dental extraction instruments designed for the controlled removal of lower bicuspids, also known as premolars. The MMI-51-013 features anatomically shaped universal beaks that provide secure engagement and controlled manipulation during extraction procedures.

The curved working ends are designed to adapt closely around lower bicuspid teeth, allowing accurate positioning and stable grip during extraction. The universal Fig. 13 design provides versatility and ease of use for routine lower premolar extraction procedures.

The ergonomic handle design provides comfortable handling and precise operator control. The balanced construction supports smooth jaw movement, while the screw-joint mechanism maintains reliable alignment during repeated clinical use.

Manufactured from premium surgical grade stainless steel, these extraction forceps provide excellent strength, durability, corrosion resistance, and long-term reliability. The high-polish finish allows easy cleaning and maintenance, while the reusable construction supports proper sterilization between dental procedures.

To maintain the performance, appearance, and service life of your stainless steel dental and surgical instruments, follow these care guidelines:

  • Clean instruments immediately after use to prevent blood, tissue, or debris from drying on the surface.
  • Wash using a neutral pH enzymatic detergent and a soft nylon brush. Avoid abrasive pads, steel wool, or harsh chemicals.
  • Rinse thoroughly with distilled or demineralized water to minimize mineral deposits and corrosion.
  • Dry completely before sterilization or storage, paying special attention to hinges, joints, and serrations where moisture can accumulate.
  • Lubricate hinged and moving instruments regularly with a medical-grade, steam-permeable instrument lubricant to ensure smooth operation.
  • Sterilize using validated autoclave procedures or other approved sterilization methods according to healthcare facility protocols and the instrument’s intended use.
  • Store instruments in a clean, dry environment with tips and cutting edges protected from impact or contact with other instruments.
  • Inspect instruments before each use for wear, corrosion, misalignment, or damage. Remove any defective instrument from service until repaired or replaced.
  • Do not expose stainless steel instruments to bleach, strong acids, high-chloride solutions, or prolonged soaking, as these may cause staining, pitting, or corrosion.
  • Use each instrument only for its intended purpose to preserve precision, functionality, and patient safety.
