Description

Apical Root Elevator No. 2 is a precision dental instrument designed for controlled luxation and elevation of tooth roots and root fragments during dental extraction procedures. The MMI-53-222-02 features a straight, tapered working end with a broader profile than the Apical No. 1, providing increased surface contact and support during root luxation.

The Fig. 2 Apical pattern has a 3.2 mm working-end width, making it suitable when a wider working end is required for controlled engagement and separation around tooth roots. KLS Martin specifically lists this configuration as a straight Apical luxator, Figure 2, 3.2 mm.

The semi-rounded working tip provides a controlled contact surface while the straight shaft allows direct positioning along the root. The elongated design supports access to the root area, while the solid handle provides secure control during clinical manipulation.
