Description

Bein Luxator Fig. 2 is a precision dental instrument designed for controlled luxation of teeth and tooth roots during dental extraction procedures. The MMI-53-220-02 features a straight, slender working end with a tapered profile that allows accurate positioning and controlled access around tooth and root structures.

The Fig. 2 configuration has a 3.2 mm working-end width, providing a balanced working profile between the smaller Fig. 1 and larger Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 Bein luxators. KLS Martin specifically identifies the Fig. 2 pattern as a straight Bein luxator with a 3.2 mm working end.

The straight working end facilitates direct positioning along the tooth or root, while the fine tapered profile supports controlled access to the periodontal space during luxation. Its slender construction allows precise manipulation where controlled instrument placement is required.

The solid ergonomic handle supports secure handling and controlled manipulation during dental procedures. Manufactured from premium surgical grade stainless steel, the instrument provides durability, corrosion resistance and suitability for repeated professional use. The polished surface facilitates cleaning and maintenance, while the reusable construction supports appropriate sterilization procedures.

To maintain the performance, appearance, and service life of your stainless steel dental and surgical instruments, follow these care guidelines:

  • Clean instruments immediately after use to prevent blood, tissue, or debris from drying on the surface.
  • Wash using a neutral pH enzymatic detergent and a soft nylon brush. Avoid abrasive pads, steel wool, or harsh chemicals.
  • Rinse thoroughly with distilled or demineralized water to minimize mineral deposits and corrosion.
  • Dry completely before sterilization or storage, paying special attention to hinges, joints, and serrations where moisture can accumulate.
  • Lubricate hinged and moving instruments regularly with a medical-grade, steam-permeable instrument lubricant to ensure smooth operation.
  • Sterilize using validated autoclave procedures or other approved sterilization methods according to healthcare facility protocols and the instrument’s intended use.
  • Store instruments in a clean, dry environment with tips and cutting edges protected from impact or contact with other instruments.
  • Inspect instruments before each use for wear, corrosion, misalignment, or damage. Remove any defective instrument from service until repaired or replaced.
  • Do not expose stainless steel instruments to bleach, strong acids, high-chloride solutions, or prolonged soaking, as these may cause staining, pitting, or corrosion.
  • Use each instrument only for its intended purpose to preserve precision, functionality, and patient safety.
