Description

Bein Luxator Fig. 3, Straight is a precision dental instrument designed for controlled luxation of teeth and tooth roots during dental extraction procedures. The MMI-53-220-03 features a straight working end with a broad, tapered profile that provides controlled access and positioning around tooth and root structures.

The Fig. 3 configuration has a 4.1 mm working-end width, providing a larger working profile than the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 Bein luxators. KLS Martin specifies the corresponding Fig. 3 instrument as a straight Bein luxator with a 4.1 mm working end.

The straight shaft allows direct positioning of the working end, while the tapered working profile supports controlled access and manipulation during luxation. The broader 4.1 mm working end provides increased contact coverage when a larger luxator profile is required.

The solid ergonomic handle supports secure handling and controlled manipulation during dental procedures. Manufactured from surgical grade stainless steel, the instrument provides durability, corrosion resistance and suitability for repeated professional use. Its polished finish facilitates cleaning and maintenance, while the reusable construction supports appropriate sterilization procedures.

To maintain the performance, appearance, and service life of your stainless steel dental and surgical instruments, follow these care guidelines:

  • Clean instruments immediately after use to prevent blood, tissue, or debris from drying on the surface.
  • Wash using a neutral pH enzymatic detergent and a soft nylon brush. Avoid abrasive pads, steel wool, or harsh chemicals.
  • Rinse thoroughly with distilled or demineralized water to minimize mineral deposits and corrosion.
  • Dry completely before sterilization or storage, paying special attention to hinges, joints, and serrations where moisture can accumulate.
  • Lubricate hinged and moving instruments regularly with a medical-grade, steam-permeable instrument lubricant to ensure smooth operation.
  • Sterilize using validated autoclave procedures or other approved sterilization methods according to healthcare facility protocols and the instrument’s intended use.
  • Store instruments in a clean, dry environment with tips and cutting edges protected from impact or contact with other instruments.
  • Inspect instruments before each use for wear, corrosion, misalignment, or damage. Remove any defective instrument from service until repaired or replaced.
  • Do not expose stainless steel instruments to bleach, strong acids, high-chloride solutions, or prolonged soaking, as these may cause staining, pitting, or corrosion.
  • Use each instrument only for its intended purpose to preserve precision, functionality, and patient safety.
