Description

Martin Ergo Lower Molars Left Forceps No. 18 are precision dental extraction instruments designed for the controlled removal of lower left molar teeth. The MMI-51-418 features specially angled, anatomically contoured beaks that provide secure tooth engagement and improved access during extraction procedures.

The Fig. 18 design is developed specifically for lower left molars, allowing accurate positioning around the tooth structure and controlled application of extraction force. The grooved gripping surfaces help maintain a firm hold while reducing the risk of slipping during the procedure.

The Martin Ergo handle design provides excellent operator comfort, improved balance, and precise control. The ergonomic construction supports smooth manipulation, while the screw-joint mechanism ensures reliable jaw movement and consistent performance during repeated clinical use.

Manufactured from premium surgical grade stainless steel, these lower molar extraction forceps offer excellent strength, durability, corrosion resistance, and long-lasting reliability. The high-polish finish supports easy cleaning and maintenance, while the reusable design allows proper sterilization between dental procedures.

To maintain the performance, appearance, and service life of your stainless steel dental and surgical instruments, follow these care guidelines:

  • Clean instruments immediately after use to prevent blood, tissue, or debris from drying on the surface.
  • Wash using a neutral pH enzymatic detergent and a soft nylon brush. Avoid abrasive pads, steel wool, or harsh chemicals.
  • Rinse thoroughly with distilled or demineralized water to minimize mineral deposits and corrosion.
  • Dry completely before sterilization or storage, paying special attention to hinges, joints, and serrations where moisture can accumulate.
  • Lubricate hinged and moving instruments regularly with a medical-grade, steam-permeable instrument lubricant to ensure smooth operation.
  • Sterilize using validated autoclave procedures or other approved sterilization methods according to healthcare facility protocols and the instrument’s intended use.
  • Store instruments in a clean, dry environment with tips and cutting edges protected from impact or contact with other instruments.
  • Inspect instruments before each use for wear, corrosion, misalignment, or damage. Remove any defective instrument from service until repaired or replaced.
  • Do not expose stainless steel instruments to bleach, strong acids, high-chloride solutions, or prolonged soaking, as these may cause staining, pitting, or corrosion.
  • Use each instrument only for its intended purpose to preserve precision, functionality, and patient safety.
  • Designed specifically for lower left molar extraction procedures.
  • Fig. 18 pattern provides precise left-side molar engagement.
  • Angled beaks improve access and visibility in posterior areas.
