Description

Martin Ergo Upper Third Molars Deep-Gripping Forceps No. 67N are precision dental extraction instruments designed for the controlled removal of upper third molars and difficult-to-access wisdom teeth. The MMI-51-067-02 features long, narrow and tapered working ends that provide deeper access to the tooth structure.

The Fig. 67N pattern is specifically designed for deep-reaching extraction of upper third molars. Its tapered beaks can extend further toward the root structure, while the serrated internal gripping surfaces increase friction and support secure engagement with the tooth.

The deep-gripping configuration is particularly useful when greater subgingival access is required. The elongated working ends help position the beaks deeper around the tooth, while the ergonomic handle supports controlled manipulation during extraction procedures. Deep-gripping designs are intended to distribute gripping forces over a broader area of the crown and root structure rather than concentrating pressure at a single point.

Manufactured from premium surgical grade stainless steel, these upper third molar forceps provide strength, durability, corrosion resistance and long-term reliability. The polished finish facilitates cleaning and maintenance, while the reusable construction supports appropriate professional sterilization procedures.

To maintain the performance, appearance, and service life of your stainless steel dental and surgical instruments, follow these care guidelines:

  • Clean instruments immediately after use to prevent blood, tissue, or debris from drying on the surface.
  • Wash using a neutral pH enzymatic detergent and a soft nylon brush. Avoid abrasive pads, steel wool, or harsh chemicals.
  • Rinse thoroughly with distilled or demineralized water to minimize mineral deposits and corrosion.
  • Dry completely before sterilization or storage, paying special attention to hinges, joints, and serrations where moisture can accumulate.
  • Lubricate hinged and moving instruments regularly with a medical-grade, steam-permeable instrument lubricant to ensure smooth operation.
  • Sterilize using validated autoclave procedures or other approved sterilization methods according to healthcare facility protocols and the instrument’s intended use.
  • Store instruments in a clean, dry environment with tips and cutting edges protected from impact or contact with other instruments.
  • Inspect instruments before each use for wear, corrosion, misalignment, or damage. Remove any defective instrument from service until repaired or replaced.
  • Do not expose stainless steel instruments to bleach, strong acids, high-chloride solutions, or prolonged soaking, as these may cause staining, pitting, or corrosion.
  • Use each instrument only for its intended purpose to preserve precision, functionality, and patient safety.
